I bought a tiger eye gold one yesterday. Dealer told me it was the only gold available in California, I believe it. Rich guy bought mine, turned it in for different interior (mine's ebony he went with white stripe). So it was used with 1.7k miles. Ran a tank of gas through it in the Sierra foothills and I'm in love! My son will get my current Chevy Sonic 1.8 which is a fine car, no problems. My daughter is fuming that I am spending her money 🙂

wow, all of these cars are on my bucket list (which has already included 50 cars). But the one I have wanted my whole life is the Gen1 Isuzu Impulse. I remember seeing it on the cover of Road & Track back in 1983 and the design blew me away then, and it still looks great today: pop-up headlights, flush-mounted windows and a sexy Pininfarina design. Sign me up!

These cars are crap. I owned an Impulse. It had the same engine as the Ford Courier. If you don't see any on the road anymore, there's a reason.

I have 2024 taos se awd, does Anyone if you reverse and there is a car coming; can you have the car make a sound? Or when u r parking n when u get too close the car, can you enable a system to make a sound saying it is too close like tiguain se r line? Also my key fob for trunk open doesnt work....i pressed it and isk if it is supposed to open or unlock only

I had a 93 Probe GT back in the late 90's when it was only a few years old with less than 50k miles. I had a love/hate relationship with that car. At the time, it was an attainable dream car for me, but the car spent more time in the shop than it did on the road. Every time I fixed it, it would break down again. And here we are, 30 years later, same old story. It's a shame that car wasn't reliable... I would've kept it a long time. Sometimes I think about picking up a project Probe for nostalgic reasons. Unlike the late 90's, I could actually afford the repairs now.

I had a 1983 Impulse. So many questions about that car. It was a real head turner.

Here’s a controversial opinion: I actually prefer it when an EV range is shorter. It encourages us to have more dense, walkable, and transit-oriented neighborhoods. We need more EV charging stations across the country, and then a cross country road trip in an EV might not sound as intimidating. Don’t get me wrong, long-range EV’s like this one are a good thing, but the shorter-range ones still serve a purpose. I still think hybrids, especially PHEV’s will become more mainstream, but EV’s do serve a purpose. Also, I agree that it has too much power.

G'afternoon Ethan 🤠 . I had a cousin to the laser, an 87' Daytona turbo Z w/ the 2.2L & 12 lb turbo that Dodge sourced from the TC by Maserati w/ a 5 speed stick. For what it was that car was a lot of fun and damn fast. It was an early non intercooled blow through turbo design and they all suffered from the same flaw. The map sensors were faulty and when they would die it would let the turbos spool up until they were glowing red hot and they would catch the fuel return line on fire and they would burn up. That's why there were so many of them that were all toasted in the junkyards 🙃 ..

A couple years ago I needed an 'interim' car after my FIAT 500 was totaled after being rear ended by a Wrangler. I found a new, leftover 2018 (it was in 2019) Mitsubishi Mirage G4, with CVT. 78 hp and 74 lb ft tq. I used it for delivery with Amazon, and i tell you I got around fine with that little power, the CVT, and fully laden with packages. Crossing busy highways, merging, passing, etc, all fine. And, I was more aware of how much power I didn't have, so I found myself make safe decision when crossing highways/passing, etc. I appreciate your dad rant, and think it's irresponsible of any other auto journalist to be suggestion any current vehicle is above and beyond 'adequate', especially EV's, turbo charger, etc.

I miss my Grand AM. I have had 1 86 Sunbird(got stolen and torched) 84 Grand Am, 86 Grand Am and a 94 Grand am (blew head gaskets in each). All my fault dove them very hard. Last one I had was a 99 Grand Prix GT (threw a rod in that one). Each Grand AM I Bought each used with 80k on them I put about 40k on each and they lasted 3-4 years. My 99 Grand Prix GT bought it with 60kmiles and Put 80k on it I had it for 6-7 years. I thought the reason for the off center dash and steering column was the "Wide Track" design. Thank Obama for their disappearance that Cash for Clunkers program. If I had the space I would buy it. I loved each of my Pontiac's they were fun to drive and drove very well. Now days when you see them Buick's on road they are just filled with Pontiac Tech. Yes where I live I still seen 90's Grand Am's and Grand Prix's on the road. Mostly Grand Prix some very clean but most rust buckets with the plastic molding or a muffler missing.

Actually the headlamps on the '22 and '23 GT-Line are very different from the previous ones. The previous headlamps looked like economy car lights. The redesigned ones look MUCH better ! !

Most of these either suffered catastrophic engine failure due to interference engine/timing belt combo, rusted to the ground since they weren't expected seasoned American roads, or junked because a tire kept leaking air. The ones that survived are now going for ten times their MSRP and are hoarded by boomers and their equally despicable gen X children.

I have a 1997' Pontiac grand am se, and I got it for free from a family member. been off the road since 2013 doesn't run, so it is bit of a basket case/project.

I mainly just want hatchbacks/sedans/wagons but the Taos is the only suv that i am interested in due to safety and i dont really think of them as great. Something about the top trim Taos speaks to me though. I have a Golf GTI on my possible list, and a Jetta GLI too, but the Taos is a bit convincing just because of comfort. Its also not Tiguan sized and it will be easy to use in a city. I also dont see many, and i plan on buying mine in the bright blue colour if i can

Kudos on recognizing the shortage of bright colors. Hopefully the body shops and youtube car painters will get on that one. Other then red, which seems common but is one of the worst for road rage and disappearing at night. I do like my dark magenta Escort though, with non-interference engine.
